Bed Bath & Beyond and Overstock are now two websites run by one company, the former Overstock.com, Inc., which bought the Bed Bath & Beyond brand in June 2023, turned overstock.com into bedbathandbeyond.com on 1 August 2023, brought Overstock back as a deals site on 28 March 2024, and has been called Neighborhood Intelligence, Inc. since 14 August 2026. Home goods suppliers apply through the Bed Bath & Beyond partner page, then set up an account, build SKUs and run orders through the partner platform.

The Bed Bath & Beyond many sellers remember, the store chain with the coupons, went into bankruptcy in 2023, and its brand was bought out of it. What sells under that name online today is a different business with Overstock's systems, Overstock's supplier base and a famous brand on the front door. That matters when you list: the rules, the people and the platform come from the Overstock side.

This guide sets out who runs the two sites, the dates of each change, how partners apply and list, how marketplace sellers appear, and what content and images to prepare.

Who runs Bed Bath & Beyond and Overstock today?

One company runs both. Overstock.com, Inc. bought the Bed Bath & Beyond brand and intellectual property, including the website, domain names, trademarks and customer data, for $21.5 million in cash; the deal excluded the old chain's stores. The company renamed itself Beyond, Inc., then Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc., and since 14 August 2026 Neighborhood Intelligence, Inc., listed on Nasdaq from 17 August 2026.

In April 2026 the company listed its brands as including Bed Bath & Beyond, The Container Store, Kirkland's, Overstock and buybuy Baby.

When did each brand change happen?

The dates below come from the company's announcements and its filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The sunset of the Overstock brand did not last: eight months after the US switch, the company brought overstock.com back.

Why did Overstock become Bed Bath & Beyond?

Suppliers were a large part of the reason. Supply Chain Dive reported in November 2023 that Jonathan Johnson, then Overstock's chief executive, said running two separate sites "would have created confusion for our supplier partners and required challenging operational workarounds", so the company chose to run a single site.

For a seller, the lesson is that the supplier relationship sits with one company and one platform. If you supplied Overstock before 2023, you were already inside it.

How do you become a Bed Bath & Beyond partner?

Apply through the partner page at bedbathandbeyond.com/partner, which says the retailer is "only accepting applications for areas related to home goods". The page sets out the route:

  1. Submit the application form.
  2. The team reviews your assortment, pricing and operational capabilities, and replies within a few weeks if there is a fit.
  3. "Set up your account, build SKUs, and begin merchandising your products."
  4. Once products are live, orders and fulfilment run through the partner platform.

The same page lists enhanced content, site-wide promotions and advertising as ways to raise a product's visibility once it is live.

How do marketplace sellers show on Bed Bath & Beyond?

Third-party items carry a "Sold and Shipped By" line under the item name, naming the seller. Bed Bath & Beyond's help page says marketplace items "do not qualify for any price changes, as these items are priced, sold, and shipped by third parties", that shoppers contact the marketplace seller directly with problems, and that returns go back to the seller under the seller's policies.

That makes a marketplace seller responsible for the whole buyer experience: price, shipping, service and returns. Your product content has to carry the weight that a retailer's brand would otherwise carry, because the shopper sees your name on the page.

How do partners connect their systems?

Many partners connect through an integrator rather than by hand. Logicbroker's help page for Overstock says the connection is electronic data interchange over AS2 for drop-ship orders, that inventory goes to Overstock as an 846 file, and that Overstock pays on the shipment notices (856) rather than on invoices.

If you already run a catalogue in a product information tool or an order hub, ask your provider whether it has a live Overstock or Bed Bath & Beyond connection before you build anything.

What images and content do Bed Bath & Beyond and Overstock ask for?

Bed Bath & Beyond's partner page sets no image sizes or counts. Salsify's February 2022 guide to Overstock and Wayfair content, written before overstock.com became bedbathandbeyond.com, says Overstock required at least three images per product, a silo, a lifestyle image and a detail shot, each at least 650 by 650 pixels, and the phone number of the product's warranty provider. Salsify also lists the units Overstock accepts: inches, feet, yards, millimetres, centimetres and metres for dimensions, and pounds, ounces, grams and kilograms for weight.

What to prepareDetail
At least three imagesA silo, a lifestyle image and a detail shot, per Salsify's 2022 guide
Image sizeAt least 650 by 650 pixels, per Salsify's 2022 guide
Warranty contactThe warranty provider's phone number, per Salsify's 2022 guide
UnitsDimensions in inches, feet, yards, millimetres, centimetres or metres; weight in pounds, ounces, grams or kilograms, per Salsify's 2022 guide
Home goods focusThe partner page accepts home goods only

Build to more than the minimum. A set of square images at 2,000 pixels a side clears the 650 pixel floor in Salsify's guide with room to spare and also meets Wayfair's 2,000 pixel figure, so one shoot serves both furniture and home channels; the Wayfair image requirements guide covers that set in detail.

A Bed Bath & Beyond and Overstock listing checklist

  1. Confirm your products are home goods, the only category the partner page accepts.
  2. Prepare your assortment, pricing and fulfilment details for the review.
  3. Make at least three images per product: silo, lifestyle and detail, at 2,000 pixels a side.
  4. Record the warranty provider's phone number for each product.
  5. Write descriptions and specifications that match the item that ships, with dimensions, materials and care.
  6. Decide how you will connect: the partner platform directly or an integrator such as Logicbroker.
  7. Give dimensions in inches, feet, yards, millimetres, centimetres or metres, and weights in pounds, ounces, grams or kilograms, the units Salsify lists for Overstock.

Questions sellers ask

Is Bed Bath & Beyond the same company as Overstock?

Yes: Overstock bought the Bed Bath & Beyond brand in June 2023 and turned overstock.com into bedbathandbeyond.com on 1 August 2023, then brought overstock.com back on 28 March 2024; both sites belong to the same company, called Neighborhood Intelligence, Inc. since 14 August 2026.

Can anyone sell on Bed Bath & Beyond?

No: the partner page says it is only accepting applications for home goods, and the team reviews each applicant's assortment, pricing and operational capabilities before inviting it to set up an account and build SKUs.

What does "Sold and Shipped By" mean on Bed Bath & Beyond?

It marks an item from a marketplace seller: the help page says such items are priced, sold and shipped by third parties, that shoppers contact the seller about problems, and that returns go to the seller under the seller's policies.

What image size does Overstock need?

Salsify's February 2022 guide says Overstock required at least three images per product, a silo, a lifestyle image and a detail shot, each at least 650 by 650 pixels; making them at 2,000 pixels a side clears that and serves Wayfair too.

What is on overstock.com now?

Since its return on 28 March 2024 and its grand reopening on 18 July 2024, overstock.com sells deals, including closeouts, liquidation, factory direct and reverse logistics goods, beside furniture, patio, rugs, jewellery and other categories.

The last word

Behind two famous names sits one company and one supplier platform, and that is the fact to build on. Apply as a home goods partner, and prepare a full image set, complete specifications and the warranty contact before the review. The company has changed its name three times since 2023; accurate product content is the part of your listing that has not needed to change.
